
William Fletcher
Will Fletcher is a professional music educator and touring musician. Having gained a BA in Music Technology from Huddersfield University he now works as Valley Music instructor as well as working with several other national organisations and teaching drum kit in schools in the Leeds area.
Currently Will is running several long term music projects in care homes, SEN settings and schools. Over the past year in conjunction with Leeds Music Education Partnership Will has focused on interactive performance in mainstream and SEN schools. More recently Will has been working with the charity Live Music Now to deliver music making residencies focusing on the use of percussion with people living with dementia.
On tour his band Maia have performed at several major UK festivals including Glastonbury and Isle of Wight as well as a main stage appearance in front of 20,000 people at Fairports Cropredy Convention. Other accolades for Maia include being awarded Yorkshire Gig Guides ‘Outstanding Live Band’ and their second album Pepper Stars was awarded Timeouts ‘Album of the Week’.
